Erica Schenk, Chairperson of the Cahuilla Band of Indians was notified via letter of this project on May 6, 2025.

Meanwhile the community was NOT properly notified!

CEQA CA Assembly Bill 52 established that an adverse impact to a tribal cultural resource is a significant environmental impact and the tribe must be notified. 

"Your participation in this local planning process is important. The City would welcome a response at your earliest possible convenience, but no later than 30 days after receiving this letter. Should we not receive a response within 30 days, we will presume that you have declined consultation under AB 52."
